A unique solution based on SmartVista consolidates all tickets' sales channels

Rotterdam, Netherlands, 13 February 2012 – BPC Banking Technologies, the leading provider of Open System e-payment solutions for the global financial industry, reports on the successful operation of a Payment Gateway for Aeroflot – Russian Airlines. Built on SmartVista technology the Gateway has consolidated all sales channels for Aeroflot ticket sales into a single integrated interface for the Company. Recently BPC has also developed and implemented an integration of Aeroflot's frequent flyer program "Aeroflot Bonus" with the gateway to support points' redemption in the purchase of tickets and services from Aeroflot's partners

Prior to the implementation of the Payment Gateway, Aeroflot was managing a costly and disparate range of interfaces across a wide range of ticket sales channels. Following its strategy to integrate and simplify this complex structure, Aeroflot engaged BPC to develop and implement a single Payment Gateway. Basing the implementation on its award winning payment processing solution – SmartVista, BPC created a single switch that enabled Aeroflot to manage its interfaces to numerous bank acquirers and partners as well as connections to payment systems. The solution was launched with an initial capability allowing Aeroflot's network of ticket agents and its customers to purchase tickets across multiple channels, including ATMs, kiosks, payment terminals, Internet, mobile, call-center, IVR.

The BPC solution includes dispute resolution and wide range of operational reports that can be quickly and easily configured to meet Aeroflot's day to day requirements. The Payment Gateway was fully integrated with Company's core IT systems and interfaces with the booking center to ensure data integrity and to raise the efficiency of transaction processing. The solution is PSI-DSS certified to provide industry standard security.

More recently BPC upgraded the Payment Gateway to bring new added value services to members of Aeroflot's frequent flyer program "Aeroflot Bonus". The Gateway now maintains records of discount coupons, manages and processes all ticket purchases using bonus miles redemption. Thanks to the new BPC solution members of Aeroflot Bonus can now also use miles to purchase goods and services from the Aeroflot partner network: iGlobe, Simple and many more.
